Kaduna Entrepreneurship Volunteerism Service (KADEVS) trains over 200 Youth and Women

Irked by alarming rate of unemployment in the country, Entrepreneurship Research and Development Centre (ERDC), Kaduna State University in conjunction with the State Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON),staged its second Kaduna Entrepreneurship Volunteerism Service (KADEVS), to provide solution to unemployment in the state.

The second KADEVS training was more intense than the first which held in March 2018. The participants were intensively trained for 3 weeks by Mallam Garba Foundation on various vocational skills such as Welding, Carpentry, Dish Installation, Cosmetics, Tailoring and Leather Works.
Present at the closing event on the 28th of September 2018 were The Vice Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Professor Muhammad Tanko, The Director of Enterpreneurship Research & Development Center, Dr Helen Andow Afang, The Honorable Commissioner of Local Government Affairs, Kaduna State, Professor Kabir Mato who represented Governor El-Rufai and also Mallam Mohammed Mahmud Aliyu, Chairman of ALGON was also present as well as Chairmen of Kudan and Sanga Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
